An insurance investigator, and a sexy married lady, plot her husband's murder.

With "Double Indemnity," Director, Billy Wilder, provided a hard-boiled, crime drama with true impact. Wilder received a nomination for best directing.

The "A" list cast includes: Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, Edward G. Robinson, Porter Hall, Fortunio Bonanova, Jean Heather, and Bess Flowers.

The film received seven Oscar nominations; no wins.
