Perelman received Oscars for Screenplay (Adapted). While Lionel Lindon was awarded the Oscar for Color Cinematography. Gene Ruggierro and Paul Weatherwax shared the Oscar for Editing. Victor Young received the Music Scoring (Dramatic or Comedy) Oscar. This was Michale Todd's (famous Broadway showman) first film.
