SYNOPSIS...
The Enterprise arrives at a planet in the Minarvan Star System. Their mission is to determine what happened to a missing research team. They beam down.

On the planet, aliens take them captive. One by one they are tortured. They encounter a female empath, who heals their wounds.

Kirk teaches their alien captors about morality. Kirk and gang are let go.
