SYNOPSIS...
The Enterprise shows up at the planet Scalos in response to an emergency call, but no one is at home. Soon a member of the landing team vanishes.

Back on the Enterprise, Kirk drinks coffee laced with an alien "Mickey Finn". Soon, he accelerates into the speeded up world of the Scalosians. Kirk has been handpicked to help repopulate the Scalosian world.

A speeded up Spock helps solve the crisis aboard the Enterprise. Kirk turns down the chance to have sex on a truly planetary scale.
