Aliens force Kirk and company to refight the gunfight at the O.K.Corral, as members of the Clanton gang!

This episode features a bizarre recreation of the gunfight at the O.K. Corral, on an alien planet. Its minimalist Western sets help create an odd, dream-like mood. A scene where bullets pass harmlessly through Kirk and the others, and yet riddle a wooden fence behind them, is a winner.

SYNOPSIS...
The Enterprise is warned away from a planet. Kirk and gang beam down anyway. On the planet, Kirk and gang find a ghostly, Old West town.

Everybody in the town refers to the Enterprise group as the Clanton's. It becomes apparent that they will soon be taking part in the historical gun battle with Sheriff Earp, his brothers, and Doc Holiday.

Spock does a mind meld on the crew. When the gunfight takes place, the Earp's bullets pass harmlessly through Kirk and the others.
